Food is quite literally fuel for life. Next to air, water & the sun, nothing is more important to your life than the nutrition that food provides.

Unfortunately, many people have it backwards. Instead of ‘eating to live’, they ‘live to eat’. Instead of food being in service of life, it becomes a centre of life, a source of ‘happiness’. As a result of this cultural adaption, the very thing that sustains life is taking it!
We often treat food with disrespect, take it for granted & abuse it foolishly. Seldom do we give food the attention it warrants. From this day forward, I suggest you begin treating food with the respect you would give to a loaded gun. Yes, a gun has a more immediate threat, but it only has a fraction of the impact that food has on your life.
Food has the power to work in two ways: it can elevate you & make you strong, or it can debilitate you & leave you weak. But relax, I’m not suggesting another torturous diet, which for most people is little more than a draining period of deprivation doomed to failure. Your body knows what it needs to thrive, & it strives to supply the correct balance of nutrients. Where “diet” falls short is by leading you to believe that you can somehow deny your body’s natural desire for nourishment, which is intended to keep you living healthy & strong. This is the wrong approach, well intended in most cases - but hopelessly misdirected & definitely not the path to greater freedom, energy & strength.
My wish for you is to enjoy the vibrant energy that flows through you when you “nourish” your body & mind. Nourishment is the ultimate purpose of food. WHY I HATE DIETS…
Research into the success rate of diets has confirmed that more than 95% of all dieters return to their original weight. And gain on average an extra 10lbs! The real need for nourishing food that originates from your body can become distorted. If this happens before hunger enters your awareness, the life supporting need for nutrients turns into intense cravings & an insatiable appetite, usually for foods that are anything but healthy. As a result, over time, your body becomes as distorted as the messages it is receiving. As long as this goes on, you will continue to eat the wrong foods, in the wrong amounts –damaging your body & draining your energy.
Diets try to combat cravings but your subconscious mind doesn’t distinguish this distorted message (craving) from an original authentic need for life-supporting nutrition.
By denying your body’s wish for nutrition, you are actually in opposition with your own life. This is why a restrictive diet can suddenly trigger the battle for survival. – One minute, you’re bragging about the 5lbs you’ve lost, the next minute, you’re in a life or death struggle with a pizza!
